German Lions LA: Player Development through Experience and Values.
Elite youth soccer training in Los Angeles, powered by UEFA-A licensed coaching and the proven German Football Association model.

There is a rising demand for high-quality, personalized soccer training in Southern California. Our programs are designed around the individual player, building technical skill, tactical intelligence, and confidence while creating an environment where growth feels natural and enjoyable.
With growing interest in European coaching, we prepare players for the next step, whether that’s academy placement, college scholarships, or competitive opportunities. Every pathway is built on structure, discipline, and the proven model of the German Football Association.
While many youth programs chase wins, we focus on what truly matters: player development. Our structured approach blends athletic, tactical, and personal growth, built on German coaching excellence and shaped for the unique needs of Los Angeles players and families.
We are German Lions Soccer Club Los Angeles, where German precision meets American ambition. We provide high quality, player-centered soccer training based on the training model of the German Football Association (DFB) that combines technical, tactical, and athletic development with personal growth.
I am Christian Kappler, Founder & Head Coach of Lions Soccer Club Los Angeles™. I hold the UEFA A License and the UEFA Youth Elite License, and I bring more than eight years of elite youth coaching experience from Germany to Southern California.
Before moving to LA, I spent five seasons coaching U17/U19 at TSV 1860 Muenchen’s Youth Academy and three years in the German FA Talent Development Program as a Stuetzpunkttrainer. I am also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach and a Certified Match Analyst (IFI), with additional high-performance education through ALTIS.
As a former Regionalliga and Oberliga player who grew up in the youth systems of Hamburger SV and FC St. Pauli, I understand development from both sides of the touchline. I also hold a teaching degree in History & English with studies in pedagogy, psychology, and education—so my coaching focuses on skill, character, and confidence on and off the field.

We believe the right environment can change everything for a young player. That’s why we bring German structure and values to Los Angeles, shaping not only soccer skills but also teamwork, discipline, and resilience. Whether you’re a family, a school, or a partner, our programs create impact that lasts well beyond the field.
